History: Tilson has held this riding since it was created in 2004. Prior to that, the area has been home to many different rural Ontario ridings, the majority of which have elected conservative candidates for decades—with the exception of 1993-2000, when Liberal MPs were elected in part because of vote-splitting between the Progressive Conservatives and Reform Party.
Candidates
Conservatives: David Tilson, MP since 2004
NDP: Rehya Yazbek, employee with the United Food and Commercial Workers
Liberals: Ed Crewson, Mayor of Shelburne from 1997 to 2014
Greens: Nancy Urekar, owner of ChicaBOOM Consignment
