Summary: NDP MP Matthew Kellway is seeking re-election in this riding that was a Liberal stronghold until his victory in 2011.

Boundaries: This riding combines the Beaches neighbourhood and the former borough of East York. Its boundaries have not changed for this election.

Last Election: In 2011, the NDP’s Kellway defeated long-time incumbent Liberal MP Maria Minna by 5,298 votes, a margin of nearly 11 per cent.

History: Minna had held this seat for the Liberals from 1993 until her defeat in 2011.
