OSOYOOS – The small community of Anarchist Mountain east of Osoyoos has a new fire chief. The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen has appointed Urs Grob as the head of the Anarchist Mountain Fire Department (AMFD).
“Mr. Grob is a dedicated fire officer who is passionate about training to do the job right,” says RDOS chair, Mark Pendergraft. “We wish Mr. Grob success in his new role as a Fire Chief with AMFD.”

Grob is a resident of the area and has been an active member of the AMFD for six years. His experience includes positions of Lieutenant, Training officer and Acting Fire Chief within the department.
Urs replaces Rob Burke, who served as Fire Chief for the past four years.
