Two-vehicle collision in Saskatoon leads to a fight

SASKATOON – What started as a collision in Saskatoon Thursday night allegedly turned into a fight before one of the driver’s involved took off from the scene. A crash between two vehicles happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the 300-block of Confederation Drive.

According to police, as officers were on the way to the scene, they were told that the drivers involved appeared to be fighting. Police were then told one driver was leaving and heading east on 22nd Street.

Officers stopped the vehicle near Avenue F and arrested the driver.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The 49-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges of failing to remain at the scene of a collision, assault, refusing a roadside breath test and three counts of mischief.

He is scheduled to appear before a justice of the peace Friday afternoon.
