Multiple crews were able to quickly knock down a small fire in the forest next to Wreck Beach.
Firefighters with Vancouver Fire Rescue Service were at the blaze, which is in the woods in Pacific Spirit Park between Wreck Beach and the University of British Columbia.

Police closed Northwest Marine Drive for some time, but by 10 p.m. fire crews had fully contained the blaze.
Smoking is banned on Wreck Beach and Pacific Spirit Park, but there is no word on the fire’s cause.
The park is operated by Metro Vancouver, which moved to Stage 3 water restrictions earlier this week.
