MONTREAL – Harinder Singh Cheema, one of Quebec’s most wanted criminals, is back in Canada.
He arrived in the country Wednesday night and appeared in Quebec court Thursday afternoon.

Cheema faces one charge of second degree murder after his wife Gurpreet Kaur was found dead Christmas morning, 2007 in the Saint-Laurent borough of Montreal.

He was arrested in San Francisco on July 8; he had been on the run since January 2008.
