MLS fines Impact assistant coach Concina, fines and suspends Whitecaps’ Techera

NEW YORK – The MLS disciplinary committee handed down fines and a suspension to members of the Montreal Impact and Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday.

Montreal assistant coach Enzo Concina has been fined an undisclosed amount for using offensive, abusive and insulting language towards a referee.

The incident happened after the Impact’s match against Sporting Kansas City on July 18.

The disciplinary committee also suspended Whitecaps midfielder Cristian Techera and fined him an undisclosed amount for violent conduct that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 93rd minute of Vancouver’s match against the Portland Timbers on July 18.
