Wildfire near Oliver

UPDATE: The wildfire is now estimated at 82 hectares and is 80 per cent contained.

WILLOWBROOK – A more than 80 hectare fire is burning north of Oliver.

The fire is believed to be lightning-caused; it was discovered Monday afternoon.

The B.C. Wildfire Service has 14 firefighters fighting the blaze which is zero per cent contained.

The Oliver Fire Department has been called in to assist the Willowbrook Fire Department and forestry crews.
