PICTOU, NS —
A Nova Scotia family has been displaced and a woman was injured following a house fire this week.
The fire broke out Thursday at a duplex on Veteran’s Drive in Pictou, N.S. A woman suffered minor burns when she tried to extinguish the fire.

The Canadian Red Cross says the woman and her three children, who range in age from three to eight, are staying with relatives for the time being.

The family is getting help with emergency supplies such as food, clothing, personal care items and toys for the children.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
