A 20-hectare fire between Ashcroft and Spences Bridge is zero per cent contained and growing, say fire officials.
The blaze, which began Saturday morning, is in Venables Valley, according to Tracy Wynnyk of the Wildfire Management Branch.
She says no structures are currently threatened, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
There are 31 fire personnel on scene fighting the fire, along with three air tankers and a helicopter.
There was a local music festival in the area, but attendees have been moved out as a precaution.
