Sask. man in critical condition after boat collides with dock

NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – Saskatchewan RCMP believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor when a boat collided with a dock at Jackfish Lake Sunday. At around 12:50 a.m., officers were called to the crash at the resort village of Aquadeo.

RCMP say there were six men and one woman from the Wilkie area in the watercraft.

A 22-year-old man was airlifted by STARS air ambulance to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon with a reported life-threatening injury. He remains in critical condition.

Some of the injured people were taken to Battlefords Union Hospital and have since been released.

RCMP say charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Aquadeo is located 30 minutes from North Battleford on the north end of the lake.
