VANCOUVER – Surrey RCMP officers are hoping someone recognizes the people depicted on a found camcorder.
Mounties say the black JVC Everio camcorder was found May 17 on 177B Street, between 64 and 60 Avenues. The person who found it gave it to police at the Cloverdale Rodeo on May 19. The camcorder has family pictures and videos of a man, woman, young boy and infant.
“We’re really happy this valuable camcorder was turned in to us by a Good Samaritan,” says Cpl. Scotty Schumann with the Surrey RCMP. “The pictures and videos of this young family are priceless and could never be replaced. No doubt the owners are heartbroken after losing a collection of precious memories.”
If you are the owner of the camcorder or know the persons depicted, contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file #2015-69981. For those wishing to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at www.solvecrime.ca.
