WATCH: Austrian soccer mascot Super Leo shows up to work drunk

Soccer fans at Austria Vienna’s recent 2-1 win against Wiener Neustadt were expecting to be treated to a raucous celebration by the team’s mascot Super Leo, a high-flying lion.

Instead, they were served a drunken, stumbling mess who seemed anything but super.

The performer was reportedly out celebrating his 42nd birthday where he had one too many drinks.

But determined to fulfill his mascot duties after the team’s victory, the man ran onto the field but failed to register a roar.

The not-so-lithe lion eventually gave up and slumped onto the field as security helped him off the pitch.

At the very least it seems Super Leo had a great birthday party.
