Active living centre opens at U of M

WINNIPEG – The multi-million dollar Active Living Centre at the University of Manitoba officially opened Tuesday.

“This new state-of-the-art fitness facility is a game-changer not only for U of M students and Bisons athletes,” said Mayor Brian Bowman.

It took two years to build the 10,684 square metre eco-friendly building which cost $59.3 million, funded by all three levels of government.

The facility opened to a large crowd of students, supporters, dignitaries and local NFL star Israel Idonije.
