Thrill-seeking centenarian Georgina Harwood went shark diving in South Africa on Monday, two days after she went skydiving to celebrate her 100th birthday.
Joined by her close family members, including her great-grandson, she braved the cold waters to meet the notorious great white shark face to face.
After the dive, an exhilarated Harwood said the experience of diving with sharks could not be compared to anything else.
Harwood went skydiving on her 100th birthday in order to raise funds for life jackets for the National Sea Rescue Institute.
Reflecting on her dive in the sea, Harwood said she felt “sharks are having a hard time in the sea” due to overfishing.
“We are taking the Hake. The poor old sharks are coming in to the coast and getting us which is a very sad thing,” she said.
