Overnight Saskatoon house fire causes $50K in damage

SASKATOON – An overnight house fire in Saskatoon has caused an estimated $50,000 in damage. The fire at 118 Avenue F South was spotted Monday around 1:30 a.m. by a Saskatoon Transit worker.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the one-and-a-half storey home. Crews entered to find a fire on the main floor.

It was brought under control in eight minutes. A search of the house found no one inside.

No injuries were reported.
