Grant MacEwan College is hoping to become Edmonton’s second university, and is waiting for the official announcement this month. Its southern sister institution, formerly Mount Royal College in Calgary, has been pushing for the change for years and was given the honour by Premier Ed Stelmach in an official ceremony Thursday.
