Canada Winter Games 2015 hockey: Team Manitoba upsets Team BC

Team BC lost 5-2 to Team Manitoba at the Canada Winter Games. Brad Pugle

Brett Davis scored two goals to give Team Manitoba a 5-2 win over Team BC at the Canada Winter Games boys’ hockey tournament.

Davis opened the scoring with a goal that came with just 39 seconds left in the first period. Davis gave Manitoba a two-goal lead at the seven-minute mark of the second.

Team BC tied the game in the second with Brendan Semchuk and Jake Harrison scoring goals just 13 seconds apart.

Manitoba ended a wild second period with goals from Jett Woo and Tyler Campbell. Hayden Ostir added an empty-netter late in the third to seal the victory.

Jordy Bellerive–the hero of Team BC’s win over New Brunswick on Monday–was ejected from the game for a hit from behind.
