More injuries for the Jets, Wheeler out

WINNIPEG — Head Coach Paul Maurice confirmed Blake Wheeler is out of the lineup with a lower body injury.

It isn’t known how badly hurt the forward is or how many games he’ll miss.

Wheeler joins four other grounded Jets in the team’s sick bay.

Mathieu Perreault, Ben Chiarot, Matt Halischuk and Grant Clitsome were previously placed on injured reserve.

Michael Frolik will take Wheeler’s place on the top line alongside Andrew Ladd and Bryan Little.
