Coasters sites, which are located within licensed establishments, offer lottery tickets and between 15 and 25 VLTs.

Since 2009, 11 Coasters sites have opened in the province.

New Brunswick’s gaming strategy, introduced in 2007, allows for up to 20 of the venues in the province.

According to ALC’s latest annual report, New Brunswick made $91 million from video lottery terminals in 2010-2011 – down from $100 million the year before.

The report says the Coasters sites will also be used to test new products such as electronic gaming tables.
