Dean Madsen, Saskatchewan Transportation Company CEO, said the bus terminal’s security works closely with law enforcement.

“Anytime our staff or security have any suspicion we do contact authorities right away,” he said Friday.

Screening at the depot includes random baggage and passenger checks. Buses can also be searched at anytime and a PA system alerts travelers to their responsibilities in the terminal.

Illegal drugs are forbidden, and signs detail what else can and cannot be brought on board.

Madsen said similar protocols are in place for any parcels that are being shipped on the bus.
