Now in its 75th year, the United Way says the money will allow the organization to invest in over 350 programs that support vulnerable Calgarians with resources and opportunities.
“When you call on Calgarians to do good, to come together, to unite to do good, and to actually invest in the critical things that make a difference to people… it’s amazing what we can do together,” said Lucy Miller, president and CEO of the United Way of Calgary and area. “We know that in order for a city to be great, it needs to be great for everyone.”
Since 1940, the United Way has been working to address poverty and other social issues affecting Calgarians.
