MONTREAL — Police have arrested a 59-year-old woman in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Cote-des-Neiges.
The arrest took place after a 95-year-old man was critically injured after being hit by a car on Monday morning.
The accident took place at about 6:20 a.m. The elderly man was walking near the intersection of Barclay Avenue and Lavoie Street when he was struck by a car.
He was transferred to hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.
“We fear for his life,” noted Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
The intersection was still closed off at 12:10 p.m., as officials conduct their investigation.
