Man in life-threatening conditioning after Calgary shooting: police
WATCH ABOVE: Calgary police said a man was taken to hospital in life-threatening conditioning after a shooting in the northeast end of the city on Saturday evening – Jan 26, 2020

One man was rushed to hospital Saturday night suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to police, several shots were fired near a service station on Rundlehorn Drive and 52nd street NE just after 8 p.m. Nobody else was injured.

Calgary police said the man was in life-threatening condition when he was transported.

Police said the shooting is believed to be an “isolated” incident and not a “random” act.

“This is the path by the lake that my wife and I and my grand kids walk our dogs,” a resident said. “That’d be pretty scary if I would have been walking at the time because I would have been close.”

Police blocked off the area while they investigated the shooting.
