Two men, the occupant of the tent and a bystander, suffered minor burns to their hands. They were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
On Tuesday, the city issued 42 warning tickets to Occupy Calgary protestors requesting that they move out of the area within 24 hours.
Officers with the city’s animal and bylaw services department will return Wednesday; any protestors who have not left the area will be issued a ticket that will require them to appear in court.
