SASKATOON – Two men involved in a snake throwing at a Saskatoon Tim Hortons last year have made a court appearance. Luke Apooch and Christopher Cook were charged with mischief after the snake was thrown over the counter on Dec. 8, 2014.

A video was posted on Apooch’s Facebook page the days after the incident. It runs for about four minutes with the men trying to place their order.

One man says “I am going to release my snake” before throwing it over the counter.

The non-venomous garter snake was captured and no one was physically injured. “Outlaw” will be released back to the wild this spring.

Apooch and Cook are scheduled to be back in court in February for mediation.
