REGINA – A 56-year-old woman is facing an assault charge in relation to an incident at a seniors home on December 5.
We first heard about this allegation at the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home on December 12.
Officials from the facility contacted police and turned over a video recording of an alleged incident of neglect and assault of one of its residents. At the time, officials said they were extremely disappointed in the staff members involved, that they would be suspended immediately, and that Santa Maria would cooperate fully with a police investigation.
