CALGARY- Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit investigate a suspicious death that occurred in the city’s southeast Friday afternoon.
Police were called to a home on Erin Ridge Road in Erin Woods around 3:40 p.m.
The call came in as a medical collapse at the residence.
Sources tell Global News a little girl was then transferred to Peter Lougheed Centre.
Police said homicide was then called due to the nature of the incident.
EMS says the victim was in critical conditional but was still alive when they arrived to the hospital, where they later died.
The investigation is ongoing and no additional information has been released.
Police said further details won’t be released until Monday, following an autopsy.
