Quon was charged with forcible confinement, sexual assault and failing to comply with a probation order after Eaglestick’s death. The failure to provide the necessities of life refers to Eaglestick’s blood alcohol level, which was “several times the legal limit,” and Quon’s alleged failure to help her or seek medical attention, Const. Eric Hofley said.

After further investigation and consultations with Crown lawyers, Quon was arrested on Monday and charged with manslaughter, causing death by criminal negligence, failing to provide the necessities of life to a child or spouse and sexual assault causing bodily harm as well as forcible confinement.
