Weapons found by Saskatoon police in man’s backpack

SASKATOON – A wanted man found carrying an arsenal of weapons in his backpack was arrested Sunday by Saskatoon police.

At 5:15 a.m., officers arrested the suspect for an outstanding warrant in the 300-block of 33rd Street West.

Upon searching his backpack, police found a loaded handgun, a shotgun, a knife and brass knuckles.

The suspect is facing numerous weapon charges and will appear before a justice of the peace Sunday.
