Court heard that Bitz had worked for Banga, who owns a company called Xtreme Mining and Demolition, but Banga fired him in 2012.

The Crown is seeking a 12-month conditional sentence in the community, while the defence wants Bitz to be given one year of probation.

Justice Neil Gabrielson has reserved his decision on sentencing until Nov. 7.
