Projet Montreal seeks input on bus 105 overcrowding

MONTREAL — Projet Montreal is asking Montrealers using the 105 bus in NDG to share their experiences.

Bus 105 commuters have complained that buses that are often too full, and that several buses pass them by before they can get on.

Many report giving up all together and walking the route that leaves from the Vendome metro station and runs along Sherbrooke Street in NDG.

Notre-Dame-de-Grace city councillor Peter McQueen wants Montreal’s transit agency (STM) to put more buses on the route as soon as possible.

In September 2013, the STM reduced the numbers of trips from 366 to 337.

This week, several more rides were added throughout the day, and in January, the number of trips is expected to reach 357.

City councillors are hoping to get a better idea of what commuters face everyday.
