TORONTO – A Toronto mayoral debate scheduled this evening in North York is back on for at least some of the candidates after a series of flip flops over the past 24 hours.
Initially, councillor Doug Ford refused to take part in the event if Ari Goldkind was in attendance.
That prompted organizers Thursday night to remove Goldkind from the invitee list.
However, when John Tory heard about the omission he too decided to pull out on “principle”.
Organizers later in the evening then decided to re-invite Goldkind and now both Tory and Olivia Chow have confirmed their participation.
