REGINA – There’s more bad news on the injury front for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The team announced on Monday that receiver Taj Smith has been put on the 6-game injured list.
Smith suffered a broken clavicle during Friday night’s game against the Edmonton Eskimos. On the second-last play of the game Riders quarterback Seth Doege threw Smith a short pass when he was hit hard by an Eskimos defender.
So far this season Smith has caught 29 passes for 324 yards and 3 touchdowns.
It was just three weeks ago that the Riders lost quarterback Darian Duran for the season after he tore a tendon in his right elbow.
