Young man charged in Airdrie shooting

AIRDRIE – RCMP have laid charges against an Airdrie man after a shooting in the northwest part of the city.

It happened in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 30th.

Police were called over reports of a fight in progress with shots fired.

They located a firearm in the area, as well as two men thought to be involved in the incident.

Trey Wylie, 20, is facing a handful of charges including robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, careless use of a firearm and assault with a weapon.

He will remain in custody until he appears in court on Thursday.
