TORONTO – Police are appealing for information a year after an elderly Oshawa man was killed in his home.

Raymond Darby, 72, was last seen walking up his driveway in the early evening of June 17, 2013.

Police say he was found dead the next morning after being violently attacked and killed.

They say Darby was a fixture in the neighbourhood and was regularly seen walking with his cane.

Darby, who police say lived alone, was a longtime resident of Oshawa and a retired employee of General Motors.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Durham regional police.
