TORONTO – American late night television host Jimmy Kimmel felt a little lost for a couple of months with Toronto Mayor Rob Ford nestled away in a rehabilitation centre for substance abuse issues.
But that empty feeling quickly faded away following his official return to office on Monday.
“You remember the smile on little Karen’s face when Frosty the Snowman came back to life?,” said Kimmel during his monologue Tuesday night.
“Well, that’s kind of how I felt today when the honourable Mayor Rob Ford returned to the City of Toronto. Oh, how I miss that sweaty pink man.”

Kimmel referenced the fact Ford’s return didn’t come without controversy.
“Right off the bat, the mayor angered much of the media by holding an invite-only press conference in his office which only holds 25 people,” said Kimmel. “One of them being him. It was a little crowded.”
The late night host then went on to comment on Ford’s significant weight loss.
“According to his brother Doug, the mayor went from a size 52 waist to size 44. Did he go to rehab or did he go into the woods to give birth to a horse?”
Kimmel ended his comedy routine by showing a video of Ford during his press conference with a Photoshop image of a body builder physique.
