Former Kingpin Crew member charged

KELOWNA — A Kelowna biker has been formally charged in connection with a lengthy drug investigation.

The investigation dates back to February 2013 and involved a member of the now defunct Kingpin Crew.

Quentin James, 31, was arrested for allegedly sending drugs through the mail to an address in Alberta.

 

Police also found a bulletproof vest, ammunition and brass knuckles along with $100,000 in cash. Facebook

RCMP say the investigation focused on the drug activities of the Kingpin Crew operating throughout the Southeast District and Lower Mainland.

The biker gang, which was led by Dale Habib, disbanded last fall. Police say they were a puppet club of the Hells Angels.

James’s girlfriend, Anita Moessner, is also facing drug charges in connection with the investigation.

James, who has a criminal past dealing drugs, is due in court in June.
