Chaos reins at Fairview Pointe-Claire bus terminal

MONTREAL – Catching a local city bus isn’t what is used to be at the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) Fairview Pointe-Claire terminal.

Massive construction work has passengers scrambling to find their bus stop as many have been temporarily relocated during the work.

Excavation crews are digging up the ground to better accommodate the new 470 extended buses that run between Pierrefonds and the Côte-Vertu metro station.

The work is expected to last several weeks.

The site is so chaotic that passengers must ask bus drivers or other STM personnel in order to figure out where to catch their buses.

Some of the bus stops have been relocated off the terminal and onto Brunswick Boulevard.

“We will look into it,” STM vice chairman and Montreal city councillor, Marvin Rotrand, told Global News.
