Union officials said no action will happen until the two sides meet in another round of bargaining at the end of April.

At issue are wages. The union said its members are paid less on average than their counterparts elsewhere in western Canada.

In a statement issued last night, the city said it plans to meet with union officials on Wednesday to understand the details of the vote.

Drivers have been without a contract since the end of 2012.
