A collision between Dynamo Kyiv captain Oleg Gusev and the opposing goalkeeper left the Dynamo captain unconscious on the ground in a Ukrainian Premier League game against Dnipro on Sunday.

Dnipro midfielder Jaba Kankava rushed over to the motionless Gusev without hesitation and removed Gusev’s tongue from blocking his airway.
Kankava is being hailed as a hero for his quick-thinking which is thought to have saved Gusev’s life.
