TORONTO – Mayor Rob Ford refused to comment on his “Hulk Hogan defence” when he arrived at Toronto City Hall shortly before 2 p.m. Friday.
On Thursday, Ford denied any connection to the alleged jailhouse beating of his sister’s ex-boyfriend, Scott MacIntyre, when his lawyers filed a statement of defence against a lawsuit alleging he orchestrated the assault.
Ford claimed his violent rant, in which he threatens to kill someone, was filmed surreptitiously and shows him “discussing and imitating, as a joke, the pre-match rant of a professional wrestler.”
The statement alleged the imitation took place at a friend’s home prior to a 2013 charity event that pitted Ford against a “well-known, retired professional wrestler.” Ford arm-wrestled Hulk Hogan last summer.

The Hulk Hogan defence seems to contradict the mayor’s own statements about the video, though. Ford previously said he was drunk at the time the video was taken.
And during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ford said he couldn’t remember when the video was shot or who he was talking about.
None of the allegations in the lawsuit or the mayor’s statement of defence have been proven in court.
