Saskatoon Fire and Rescue aided RCMP with the recovery of a body from the South Saskatchewan River Friday morning.

RCMP received a call at 7:25 saying a body was floating in the river near the Clarkboro Ferry Crossing east of Warman.

Officers responded and enlisted the help of Saskatoon Fire and Rescue.

Crews were able to recover the body around 9:30 a.m. up the river from the ferry crossing east of Osler.

RCMP Major Crimes and the Forensic Identification Unit, along with the Coroner’s Office, are investigating.

No cause of death has yet been determined and the remains have not been identified.
