CALGARY –The Canada Post mail processing plant in northeast Calgary was evacuated just before noon on Tuesday due to a suspicious package.

The plant was evacuated as a precaution as members of the Tactical Support Unit were called in to inspect the package.

Investigators opened the parcel following an x-ray and analysis and found a white powder.

The powder was analyzed by the fire department and found to be corn starch.
