HALIFAX – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify three suspects who they say were caught on camera stealing a woman’s debit card from her purse.
Video surveillance screenshots from the Walmart located in Dartmouth Crossing shows three men following the victim as she left the store on the afternoon of Jan. 24.
One of the men pretended to drop something in front of the woman, causing her to stop. The other two then came up behind and took the card from her open purse.
The suspects had previously been watching the woman as she entered her PIN at the cash register.
The victim called police when she realized her card was missing and several unauthorized transactions on her bank account.
