James Franco meets fans in Montreal

TORONTO — Actor James Franco held court at an Indigo store in downtown Montreal on Thursday night, signing copies of his latest novel Actors Anonymous.

“Much love  – everyone was cool,” Franco tweeted after the event, which attracted hundreds of fans. “Love to Montreal.”

The 35-year-old was in the city working on the 3D drama Every Thing Will Be Fine for German director Wim Wenders.

Franco plays a writer who loses control of his life after striking and killing a child while driving around following a fight with his girlfriend.

The film also stars Canadians Rachel McAdams and Marie-Josee Croze.

Last December, while in Vancouver shooting The Interview with B.C. native Seth Rogen, Franco made an appearance at an Indigo store in the city to sign copies of Actors Anonymous.

On Tuesday, Deadline reported Franco will launch an acting school in Los Angeles.
