Harrison Ford to make film in Vancouver

TORONTO — Harrison Ford is bound for B.C.

The 71-year-old actor has joined the cast of The Age of Adaline, a drama starring Blake Lively and Ellen Burstyn that starts shooting in the Vancouver area in March.

The movie’s titular character (Lively) stops aging after recovering from a near-fatal accident. She journeys through life keeping her secret safe — until she meets a special man.

Cameras are scheduled to roll until early May.

Ford’s recent films include Ender’s Game and Paranoia. He is best known for roles in the Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Wars franchises.

Adaline is one of several feature film projects in B.C. this season. Production of the Fifty Shades movie wraps up next month but shooting begins soon on Night at the Museum 3 and Formula M.

Production has begun on a Warcraft feature with Ben Foster, Paula Patton and Dominic Cooper.
