MONTREAL – A dangerous high-speed chase north of Montreal ended early Friday morning with the arrest of three people in Laval.
Quebec provincial police said that the incident began at 1:40 a.m., after officers attempted to stop a car at Boulevard Roland-Godard and Rue de Martigny Ouest in Ste. Jerome.
The driver of the car took off, driving 30 km south to Ste Rose, Laval.

The car was brought to an abrupt halt ten minutes later by a spike belt placed along Highway 15.

Three people inside the vehicle then attempted to escape on foot, but officers arrested them all along Boulevard du Souvenir.
Officials confirmed that no one was injured, although a squad car was damaged slightly during the pursuit.
