CREIGHTON, Sask. – The northeastern Saskatchewan community of Creighton remains on the list of places being considered for a nuclear waste storage facility.
Two communities in Ontario were notified last week that they didn’t meet the proper geological requirements to host a facility.

That leaves 14 other communities in Canada under consideration.
An official with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization says it will take at least a few years before the next stage begins.
