  • 2008 World Junior Combined Silver Medallist.

Interesting Fact: During a 2009 training run Larisa Yurkiw tore her ACL, MCL, patellar tendon as well as the lateral and medial meniscus in her left knee. She had three surgeries and took two years to recover before she was back competing.

Chances: She has a couple of top-10 finishes in the downhill event to her name but will likely spend a majority of the time in the shadow of teammate Gagnon in Sochi. Yurkiw is not expected to medal.
